Construction Complete at 620 Fulton Street, Downtown Brooklyn
620 Fulton Street stands 12 floors and 177 feet to its rooftop. Within that, there is a 65,000 square-foot health center for the Union’s workers, 70,000 square feet of office space, and 20,000 square feet of retail space at the base of the project. Francis Cauffman is the architect, and the finished product has turned out even nicer than the renderings, which is a rarity for new development in New York City. The glassy exterior is broken up by layers of fins, and a lighter color interspersed in three sections. The resulting appearance is dynamic and greatly enhances the streetscape, while also proving that glassy buildings need not be completely monotonous.
