FRANCIS CAUFFMAN’S RECENT PROMOTIONS RECOGNIZE TALENT AND EXPERTISE
New York, NY – Francis Cauffman, an award-winning architecture firm with offices in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, has recognized its in-house talent by promoting 13 members of its staff. Gloria Cascarino, Haley Driscoll, Dana Eddowes, James Hammond, and Erin Kelly have all been promoted to Senior Associate, while Eric Lautzenheiser has been promoted to Director of Health Facilities Planning. Promoted to Associate are: Mary Carroll, Sara Gally, Marvin Giddings, Jennifer Kenson, Angela Marchionne, Shawn Marren, and Denise Thompson.

Gloria Cascarino is an authority on the selection, operations, and function of medical equipment and materials. She has helped her clients to plan medical equipment that represents over $200,000,000 in equipment budgets. Her extensive experience gives her a keen understanding of safety, budget development and compliance, functionality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Haley Driscoll, IIDA, has designed healthcare interiors for more than 15 years. In the past three years she has directed Francis Cauffman’s healthcare interior design group. Her experience has gained her numerous awards in healthcare interior design, such as the Best Healthcare Award from the Philadelphia Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
Dana Eddowes has more than 20 years’ experience in managing the financial operations of architectural firms. Her expertise extends to all aspects of project accounting, including human resources and the development of administrative procedures. At Francis Cauffman, she assists in implementing policies that increase the efficiency and profitability of the company.
James Hammond has 14 years’ experience in corporate facilities and law firms, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and retail architecture. His clients have included Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline and Morgan, Lewis and Bockius.
Erin Kelly, AIA, NCARB, brings more than 10 years of healthcare design experience to the firm. She effectively manages and coordinates large-scale projects and is proficient in all phases, from design through construction. Most recently, she participated on the award-winning Morristown Memorial Hospital for Atlantic Heath.
DIRECTOR OF HEALTH FACILITIES PLANNING
Eric Lautzenheiser, AIA, ACHA, was promoted to Director of Health Facilities Planning. He is an expert in effective project development that takes into equal consideration healthcare delivery system trends, budget, and schedule. Lautzenheiser is especially known for his process of project concept definition: working with clients to discover their real needs and goals, then drawing on more than 30 years of experience in healthcare architecture to create a solution that realizes those goals.
Mary Carroll, AIA, NCARB, LEED®AP, has 20 years of design experience and creates planning solutions for academic research, corporate, and pharmaceutical projects, as well as biotechnology facilities and labs.
Sara Gally, NCIDQ, has proven planning skills and computer capabilities that allow her to clearly communicate design concepts to clients. She extends her experience to Philadelphia University where she is an adjunct professor of design visualization.
Marvin (Buddy) Giddings joined Francis Cauffman in 1997 and has 18 years experience as a project manager and a project architect for diverse types of projects, including corporate offices, child development facilities, healthcare and food services.
Jennifer Kenson, NCIDQ, has been creating successful healthcare environments for 13 years. Her efforts have been recognized through awards, such as the User Centered Design Award from the Philadelphia Chapter of the AIA and the Healthcare Environments Award from the Center of Health Design and Contract.
Angela Marchionne, NCIDQ, LEED®AP began her career in 1987 and has expertise in healthcare, manufacturing facilities, historic preservation and, most recently, legal and corporate planning.
Shawn Marren, AIA, has more than 18 years of experience. During this time, he has managed lasting relationships with clients that have unique and challenging issues. His array of past projects includes churches, apartments, offices and university and medical facilities.
Denise Thompson, AIA, LEED®AP, has been a versatile member of the healthcare team and has championed Francis Cauffman’s integration of sustainability initiatives since joining the firm in 2003.
