The modernization of AtlantiCare’s Mainland Campus received significant community support from individuals, foundations and corporations. Architecture firm Francis Cauffman, interior design consultant for AtlantiCare, created two significant donor wall installations to recognize this support. The feature walls complement the hospital's interiors with ideas of nature, translucency and layering. One donor wall is a modern interpretation of the “Tree of Life” style: In lieu of a literal approach — usually a bronze tree — the design team conceptualized the wall as an art installation that translates the image of a tree into a pixelated image. Fashioned out of resin blocks in various colors, this feature wall is located across from a gift shop and café area in the main corridor, maximizing its visibility.
