Clara Maass Medical Center

RWJBarnabas Health
Belleville, NJ / 87,000 SF

The Clara Maass Medical Center MOB & ICU fit out was created to specifically target several key initiatives including the development of a new campus entrance and a replacement of the existing ICU. A 2-story atrium and balcony overlooks the spacious lobby and central registration suite, designed to accommodate patients and visitors with convenience and quality of care. On the upper floor, Francis Cauffman designed a comprehensive replacement of the ICU, within the ambulatory setting. The 32-bed 27,000 SF ICU features all private patient rooms designed to create a relaxing, calming environment. Francis Cauffman was selected by Rendina and RWJBarnabas Health for this design effort to provide connectivity between the existing hospital and this addition. The result is a dynamic, state-of-the-art facility that places Clara Maass Medical Center at the forefront of medicine.
