LifeCell Corporation Facilities Expansion

LifeCell Corporation
Branchburg, NJ / 120,000 square feet

As a major developer of tissue repair products for use in surgical procedures, LifeCell could not easily shut down or completely move to a temporary site during the renovation of its offices. Using this renovation as an opportunity, Francis Cauffman evaluated circulation patterns and studied how people used the existing space for the development of tissue repair products. These studies were then used to raise the performance level of the company in its new environment. During the renovation, Francis Cauffman also developed intricate phasing strategies, temporary moves and swing spaces to minimize disruption to all 400+ employees.
