Feldman Shepherd, a personal injury and medical malpractice law firm, relocated to a new regional headquarters in an early 1900’s building that fronts Philadelphia’s historic Rittenhouse Square. The new office reflects the law firm’s collaborative culture and supports its practice, which emphasizes comfort, technology and service, while taking advantage of its location by showcasing vistas throughout the space.
In order to promote a collaborative work environment in a long, narrow space, the designers leveraged open areas in the elevator bank. They also added flexible meeting spaces and internal case rooms, as well as a new conference center with a breakout lounge and kitchen.
The firm handles sensitive cases, so Francis Cauffman created a comforting, client-focused public zone. The project features numerous sustainable elements, including reclaimed wood-feature paneling, recycled porcelain tile, floor-to-ceiling glass wall partitions, and energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems.
