When Francis Cauffman renovated the interior of the historic 1916 Daniel L. Hermann Courthouse, the designers incorporated and harmonized the new with the old. The design preserves the distinguished Neo-classical architecture while integrating modern functionality in all of the workspaces. The entrance features a grand two-story atrium that is now the heart of Young Conaway’s public and collaboration areas. The renovations also include a fully integrated suite to be solely used for visiting counsel. The U-shaped building boasts a large outdoor plaza, lit by the courthouse’s original ornate lampposts, that serves as an urban garden for dining, informal meetings, and social gatherings.
