Driven by rapid expansion, Biohaven’s Pennsylvania space was designed for their highly mobile workforce. The design team collaborated with Biohaven staff from all levels to develop a program that balanced the spatial needs of each user group taking into account individual, group, and leadership functions. 

Always prioritizing well-being, the design harnessed daylight and outfitted the space with sit-stand desks, natural materials, non-toxic finishes, and premium air filtration to bring a sense of wellness to this active workplace. Biohaven’s environment artfully articulates its bold, rapid-response nature in elements ranging from a sculptural ”communicating stair” connecting the two floors, to custom perforated panels that relate the space to their New Haven headquarters.

 

The result features a wide variety of workstations, conference rooms, an expandable training center, pantries, and casual spaces that together create a vibrant setting for innovation and leadership.
