When accounting firm EisnerAmper decided to design a new office in Midtown East, they wanted to pivot to a nimbler working environment. Their new office spans the fifth through tenth floors, totaling 125,000-square-feet, including its own private ground floor lobby, with their own concierge desk, and a dedicated elevator. And not a single seat is assigned, but reserved by the employee in advance, on an app.

The open workspaces are organized into different clusters, or neighborhoods. Each floor has four neighborhoods with their own distinct groupings of desks and meeting rooms. These floors are all linked by a staggering, open staircase that creates a three-story atrium beginning with an amenity floor on the seventh story. The amenity floor has a large, collapsible board room, training rooms, a cafe area, a 3,200-squarefoot outdoor terrace with seating and fitness classes, and a striking elevator lobby for visitors and clients. The staircase links to two other community gathering spaces as well.

It is an eminently scalable environment, and a bold and forward-thinking design, allowing not just for employee growth and safety, but truly creating an environment where people want to come into the office, to work, to grow, with purpose.
