FCA recently completed the design of a new 3-story Medical Office Building in Lakeland, FL, aiming to meet the area's growing healthcare needs. Alongside physician offices, key features include an urgent care unit, lab, and imaging department offering various medical imaging services such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound.
The design focused on aligning with Lakeland Regional's branding, incorporating specific colors and textures to maintain consistency with other regional locations. Notable design elements include waterfall-edge countertops, custom sloped cabinets and sinks, and sheet vinyl flooring throughout.
Originally hosting four exam rooms and two providers, the expansion adds 6,500 SF, accommodating up to five providers and 15 exam rooms. Additional facilities include a new procedure room, medical assistant stations, a phlebotomy lab, and office space.
Space constraints prompted innovative solutions, such as fitting equipment into the building's attic to optimize square footage. This approach reduced the number of HVAC spaces from five to one, enhancing operational efficiency.
Ultimately, the building offers comprehensive medical services under one roof, including urgent care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and physician consultations, with potential for future expansion on the shelled third floor to meet evolving healthcare demands.
