FCA relocated the legal practice of Morris James into a new premiere downtown Wilmington high-rise. The move to 500 Delaware Avenue and the design parti was a major positioning event for the firm, towards supporting their growth, retention and the ability to service its clients.
The building showcases floor to ceiling windows and FCA designed the interiors to showcase that feature and allow natural light deep into core spaces. A new connecting stair organizes the 3-floor solution vertically, while major public and attorney spaces are horizontally connected to that spine. Legal support spaces are designed for multiple functions to provide a highly efficient layout. The conference center, coffee bar and lounge provide an alternative to the formal waiting area with a more relaxed setting for clients and staff. The design and construction utilize classic materials but detailed in a contemporary style.
