Virtua Health created a centralized pharmacy located on the 3rd floor of the new Voorhees hospital. The intent of the project was to create a centralized distribution, drug picking, chemo mixing location that would serve their outlining campuses, The project entailed creating a new 1,100sf modular clean room pharmacy within the existing pharmacy, which contained the ISO 7 ante room, hazardous and non-hazardous clean rooms with hoods, and two (2) state of the art IV Robots within the modular system. This modular system also contained the pass-through refrigeration systems. The project also entailed selective reconfiguration of the remaining and surrounding pharmacy to accommodate new intake and processing procedures, drug containment protocols and an investigative drug holding area, in addition to an enlarged breakdown and storage area.
